Sites Selected For 2010 Legion Tournaments

At the 2011 Mid-Year American Legion Convention held in Grand Island this weekend, the Department of Nebraska Athletic Committee announced the sites for the 2011 American Legion Area and State Tournaments.

Class A Senior Legion State Playoff Game (National Division Champ vs. American Division Champ) will be played on July 30, 2011. The National Division State Champion will host. The State Champion and the State Runner Up will both advance to the Central Plains - Region 6 Regional Tournament at Dickinson, North Dakota be played August 4-9. Regional Tournament winners will compete in the American Legion World Series, August 12-16, in Shelby, North Carolina. * Note for Areas 1-4: Area tournament numbers will be assigned at the seeding meeting following the conclusion of Metro League play.
